Tesco Money off - Online

Hi, I have seen nothing posted about using vouchers for online deliveries so.. I emailed tesco recently asking about what their policy is on sainsburys vouchers and if they can be accepted when ordering online and when having shopping delivered is it possible to redeem sainsburys vouchers for money off. Here is the reply I received:

Thank you for your email.

We are currently accepting coupons for Sainsburys and Safeway both in our stores and for on-line grocery transactions. Just hand your coupons to your driver when your groceries are delivered. We'll credit your payment card back at the store. If you are in-store, just hand these to the cashier.

Please note the following:

We can only accept Sainsburys or Safeway branded coupons for money off your total transaction.

We cannot accept coupons valid only for specific products or departments.

We can only accept up to £15 worth of coupons for one delivery.

You must have met any requirements on the coupon, such as a minimum spend.

We can only accept them against grocery deliveries. We cannot accept them for
deliveries from our warehouses.

We may refuse to accept coupons if they appear to be damaged, defaced, altered
or copied.

This offer applies for a limited period only.

We cannot accept coupons for purchases of tobacco or infant milk formulae.

Excludes ROI.

I trust this information is helpful.

    .

This means they accept the total spend vouchers, not the specific product ones from Sainsburys magazine.

  • Yes I realise that they accept total spend vouchers, but the point is that Tesco will accept Sainsburys/Safeways total spend money off vouchers on deliveries, which is a new policy from Tesco. And also if you include some online Tesco money off codes say... £10 off a £70 shop whilst ordering online as well as giving the sainsbury/safeway vouchers upon delivery, the saving is well worth while.

Yes, definitely a good move but I've never seen the total spend vouchers in the Sainsburys magazine. Wouldnt want people going out to buy it if thats what they were after.

Bridie ... the points can be converted to all sorts of things listed in the Nectar book, perhaps this voucher is one of the things on offer?

Nectar send out regular money-off vouchers, just before Christmas I got one for a free bottle ("Xmas present") of their Champneys bubble bath (result - voucher deducted £6 from bill, but the bubble bath had been reduced to £4, so free smellies + £2!!). They also send out the total spend vouchers (which Tesco's will take).

If you sign up to the Sainsburys clubs (wine, health, baby etc) you get more. I recently got a £1 off voucher for any alcohol product. Bought a couple of reduced Barcardi Breezers for a total of 50p :D It was a colleague who pointed me in the direction of the wine club - she'd had one for £5 off ANY bottle of wine.
