Its a legal requirement that you are a certain age where you need no consent, like going to the pub or buying tobacco. even hiring 18 rated movies. however its not impossible to doctor your date of birth for a purchase online, they generally arent interested if your under age, so long as they secure a sale. but they still have to obide by law that you have stated you are of a legal age of consent.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Yeah i mean, Screen Select and Lovefilm didnt ask for my age (i choose not to fill that field
). And when i rang them they werent bothered (i didnt tell them my age but, heh, surely they can tell by my Voice?). the Money Saving Expert team do not moderate forums, so if you see something that shouldnt be here report it! :beer:0 -
I'm sure that screen select and love film may have to change that soon. It says on the blockbuster site that they stopped accepting Solo for the pure reason that it is available for under 18's.~Diminutive0

Im under 18 - its SOO STUPID for some things - and why cant we order from online shops with the proper DOB - they still get my money from my Solo Card - its not as if you have to be 18 to go into tesco but you have to be to order online! :mad:0

I don't really mind, but I get really bothered when something like fragrences like Hugo or Lacoste say you need to be 18!:mad: :mad: Its so annoying, why can't we apply for them? I just lengthen my DOB to get them, but even then, they're just silly postcards.:eek: :eek: :eek:0

i havent entered my correct date of birth ONCE on the internet, and i never will. neither do i read barely any of the questions on surveys for freebies. just fill them in as quick as you can and dont give away ANY information about yourself other a name (doesnt have to be yours) and an address.0
