Child car seat

Anyone aware of the currently recommended (Which? magazine for example?) car safety seat for a 9 month old?

Any particularly good or inexpensive suppliers?

    I recently bought a Britax child seat (9mths to 4yrs) from Kiddicare.com
It had the Isofix fixing mechanism which is superb if you have them already in your car - you can check if you do by feeling /looking at the fixings by the rear seatbelts (should be two U shaped metal bars on either side between the back of the seat and the squab). You can also check your car details via the Britax website. This fixing is brilliant - the seat will not move about and becomes 'part of the car'. I think the seat itself cost around £130 but it is worth the extra for the child safety.

    This one is a bargain
