I have checked my credit file-call credit and it says my six years afte my CJ will be in January 2011. WIll my credit rating go up, do I have to do anything to stop it showing on my credit file or will it always be there but not count as much?

It will go altogether after 6years, nobody would be able to see it had been there. So your rating should improve.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Yippee-thankyou for that! I was thinking I would have to do something.0

danielle - the 6 years starts from the day you went into default and NOT the day you were issued with the ccj - i only found this out by accident. ie, i defaulted in aug 04 but wasn't given a ccj till Nov 04 so the default comes off in aug - sooner than i thought
