ohhhh im at the end of the line i carnt make the payments and for about the past year family and friends have either gave us money or food to pay rent or buy food ect as everything we have goes into paying the creditors

hubby is now ill with it all and just wants it over with i carnt see anything getting better for us and we just carnt make the payments
how can you tell if you are someones gaurentor anyway ??? i just carnt remember if i am or not i mean as it stands its hubbys credit card and loan that are killing us as we pay almost 480 out a month on creditors and only get 1200 income per month

i think if you have used all avenues to pay back what you owe at whats best for you? or its the only way for you to go onwards then bankruptcy is the better solution.Print off your BR forms fill them in and remember you cant be hanged or shot for being in debt, if you smoke light up relax and have a drink and look at the atmosphere and look to your future do it soon as really.=)

so just to clarify to put my debt on hubbys credit card and for him then to go BR would be a big NO NO
also does anyone know how you can tell if you are infact responsible for someone elses debt ?

If Debtinfo said it's a big no no, then it's a big no no! Trust me. :) I guess it would be on the paperwork, your signature? If there's no signature by yourself on the paperwork then I find it hard to believe that it's any thing to do with you. I don't really know but i'm good at common sense :)

And college and uni, don't let it fall through if you really really want it. I didn't start till just after bankruptcy, I know it must be difficult to keep motivated with all thats going on right now but your lives will get better. Hang on in there x

NO!! DON'T PUT IT ON THE CREDIT CARD

He will encounter problems with the OR.

Alternitivly if you have some space on a CC then you could take the cash off it for your husbands BR fees. OR's will tend to turn a blind eye to this.

I feel you are worrying needlessly about being evicted from your council property. It is social housing and they are there to help you. Over the years I have seen a fair number of people like you go BR with housing debts and the council have not worried. Some have made arrangements to repay a small amount each month and the OR have accepted this on the SOA.

If you have a card on your DH credit card then you are not jointly responsible. It is not a joint account.
