Where to shop/eat in Lisburn?

I've driven through Lisburn many times but never stopped to shop but will be going there on Saturday for a girlie shopping day. Wondering if it's better just to go to the Bow Street Mall or is the town centre worth a look round? Not looking to buy anything in particular so a variety of shops would be nice. Also, could someone recommend somewhere nice for lunch? Thanks

Dalton's sandwich shop at the top end of Bow Street - unbeatable!0

Dalton's now have 2 places in Bow Street. The sandwich shop, which as D.A. says is unbeatable, and a newly opened bistro next door to Greens Supermarket.
There's another place on Chapel Hill, just opposite the front entrance to Bow Street Mall, which gets a good reputation too. I think it's called Thorntons??
If you don't mind a short drive out of the centre then I can recommend Cafe Vic Ryn which is inside Furniture Solutions on the Moira Road. It's really popular, the food is lovely. They have a staggering selection of scones too. Furniture Solutions itself is a registered charity with it's profits going to various projects throughout the world. The cafe is independent but donates to the causes too.0 -
That's lunch sorted - many thanks! But what about the shops? Do I go for the town centre or the mall? Small business vs big business!0

Why not do both? Lisburn isn't such a big place that you can't have a really good look around the mall and the shops in an afternoon.
There's also a nice Chinese buffet place on Antrim Street, close to the back entrance of the mall...I took my mum there last night. At 61 it was her first time in a Chinese restaurant (she's a picky eater!)and she loved it:rotfl:"I believe that everything happens for a reason. You can do both mall and street.

Linen House @ Premier Inn just between Lagan Vally Hospital and M&S is good for lunch, 2 main meals for £10. Limited menu but very nice and I can recommend the fish & chips lol.0
