self-employed - can't find proof of income

I'm sorting out a mortgage for a house that i'm in the process of buying.
My Wife is self-employed (sole trader), and so i need to provide the mortgage company with last 3 years accounts as proof of income.
I've dug out 06/07 & 07/08, but i can't seem to find a copy of 08/09 accounts.
I've logged into the Self-assessment website, but you can only see the last set of accounts, & we have already submitted 09/10.
How do i find out & prove the income for 08/09 now that i don't seem to have a copy of the accounts.
We didn't use an accountant, so nobody else has a copy.
Help!

Have you the self assessment forms from the HMRC showing the tax and nic due?
This will at least substantiate the profit.0 -
It may be worth you calling HMRC and asking them to sending them through to you.0

That would be the SA302 form.
Call HMRC and see if they can send you a copy of full return if you need it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. i don't have the actual self-assessment form as that was done online, but i do have the letter from HMRC showing how much tax is payable on what date.
That might just work - i will try it.0 -
I recently called HMRC and spoke to really helpful lady who was kind enough to photo copy and send to me my last 10 yrs returns...Excellant service and I couldnt fault them..0
