I want to make some Millionaire Shortbread, but only have a tin of 'Light' condensed milk.
Does anybody know if this will work?
Many thanks.

I accidentally tried to make banoffee pie with light condensed milk once (where you cook the unopened tin in boiling water for ages to turn it into toffee) but it didn't thicken so I wouldn't try it.Marsh Samphire0

I use the light version for millionaire's shortbread, it works perfectly fine. I think (although it might be all in my head) that it burns a bit easier than the full-fat version so be a bit careful and keep stirring.0

It's the only one I ever buy, it will be fine:D

I bought it once but it isn't "set" so is difficult to use for millionaires shortbread etc. Tastes wonderful on ice cream though!Jane
