Barclays Partner Finance - Oh Dear !!
Time to name and shame I think.
Simple question I thought, can you tell me what the penalty amount would be if I settled a finance deal early?
The Salesman said there was no penalty - the pre contract said there was, (but to be honest I would have needed a degree in mathematics to try and work it out) - who do I believe?. I thought the easiest route was from the horses mouth - so lets ask the credit Provider. Barclays Partner Finance.
25 minutes of being passed from pillar to post - back and forth - no one knew the answer and no one knew which department I should be put through to. I was infact passed to 6 different departments and the same one 3 times as well. Eventually, they told me to go back to the salesman and ask him !!
If this is the level of skill / professionalism / knowledge that a Company can offer me on their own credit agreements - what hope is there - surely this is something that the FSA should be looking at - very closely??

Maybe the way you asked the question didnt help?just ask them for a settlement figure that should do the trick0

Well that would be easy - but I havent taken the loan yet, I wanted to know what the early repayment penalties are - so that I can compare different companies.0

One of the departments they put me through to dealt with early settlements. They couldnt help me as I didnt have an existing Loan !!0

Barclays Partner Finance are a dreadful company, try to avoid if you can, there are lots of threads on here about them, mine included.
My husband has now complained to the FLA about them, and they taken the complaint on and are dealing with it.0
