Where can I but a replacement car number plate and how much is it likely to cost?

Car accessory shops usually sell them. Price varies but we just paid around £6 for a front plate, you will need the registration document to prove you own the vehicle. HTH.

this reminded me of when my fil mentioned he wanted a private plate. mil came home from market the following week telling us she could get him a private plate for £10 lol. dp had to explain that you couldn't just make it up.

Halfords are one of the dearer places, try units on industrial sites, who supply the the local Car Accessory Shops. You should have to produce your Log Book, and Identification.....

you should find that any car place, ford, vauxhall etc with a service center will be able to make ya one, for a few quid,

Thanks for all the suggestions. I phoned Halfords and they charged £12.99, went to a local shop and it cost £9.00, quite a difference in price.
