Food hygeine certificate training, help please?

I am wanting to complete some sort of recognised food hygeine course but searching online there are so many options it's hard to know which to do.

Can anyone advise what might be best to do?!

Sorry this is a bit vague but I'm overwhelmed with options at the moment!

Thanks very much

What ever you do dont go for an online one. alot are just micky mouse courses that no employer will recognise.

Do one on a day or night course at a college or training provider.

The most common one is by the chartered institute of environmental health called CIEH Food Safety in Catering level 2.

I notice you are from Leeds, you can do a course at Leeds city college for £60.

There is a whole host of providers in and around Leeds, do a search here to find one that suits you

If its work related your employer will probably fund or part fund it, If you are on benefits or a low income there is various places you can get funding to do it.

As well as colleges, check your local community centres - I did the CIEH level 2 that Snakeeyes mentions. The community centres in my town offer educational courses, fully accredited and provided by external trainers. Most of the courses are free, as the community centres get funding to encourage people back into education and training.

Thanks very much to both of you, I will check community centres first as they may be free, otherwise I'll enrol at LCC :D
