Shared Equity

I have been wanting to buy my flat for a while now but have adverse credit.

The flat is valued at £115k and the owner (he is a property developer and wants to sell) has offered shared equity and he would retain 30%.

I have two jobs and earn 52K per year. I have two loans which account for 400 per month with no missed payments ever.

I have two credit cards with very small limits, and again no missed payments ever.

I have a default though from three years ago.

I was previously turned down for a mortgage last year.

Is there any possibility that anyone would give me a mortgage?

Thanks

    Hiya,

Your best bet would be to go with a mortgage broker and I think one that covers the whole of the market including sub-prime.

It'd depend probably too on the amount that you defaulted on and if it was settled too.

    Good luck.
