CITI have started harassing me for £1.80 phoned twice in two days even though I requested that they remove my number. They are starting to get me down. Feeling depressed this evening.

    Hi

We get days like that whilst on a DMP. Have you sent the follow up letter ? the template is around somewhere. Sorry but I can't remember if you have sent Citi an offical complaint or not, if you haven't give it a go.

If you have sent an offical complaint and they are ignoring it,write back telling them that as they are refusing to remove your details and continuing to process data that you have requested to be removed, you are going to report them to The Information Commisioner and The FOS, tell them that you will no longer answer their security questions should they continue to call.

If they continue to call follow the threats through, it's a pain in the !!!! having to go through it all but they don't expect you to follow your threats through.

Don't let the !!!!!!!s get you down ;)

I forgot to say, make a note of every call that you receive, if you do answer their calls, explain that you have asked for all contact to be in writing only and take the persons name.

You could also state the OFT guidline of 2.6F has been broken

pressurising debtors to pay in full, in unreasonably large instalments,
or to increase payments when they are unable to do so

If all else fails you could purchase a truecall unit, they are great

Hi - Have you thought about trying to manage your own dmp? There are plenty here that have done and very well. I guess there's nothing to stop you then changing to a fee paying one if you decide you prefer that later? My thoughts are that as you've gathered a record for repaying rather than running off they are likely to accept it. Worth considering? Let us know how you get on.

I believe Mrs Ryan commented earlier that she couldn't do the self administered DMP?

    Hello and welcome :)
The slow cooker is the money savers best friend.......Healthy eating at a low cost.
We used to keep chickens years ago and the d*amned things were always getting out and doing the 'Great Escape' thing, usually eating next door neighbours prize flowers. Oops!
It sounds like you have your head around all of this financial stuff. I am here till eternity so all company welcome ;)

I'm all for one pot meals (Jambalayas are my all time faves), but I never quite got round to slow cookers. Couldn't quite get used to leaving one on whilst I was at work!

I may have mentioned this before (and I apologise if people want me to shut up), but perhaps have a word to them on the phone? Have you answered and told them the situation? Everytime I've had harassment I've told them the situation, and 9/10 when they phone back they apologised for ringing and not realising I'd spoken to them?

But maybe I was just lucky.

Go for it Ian. I had one in the 80s but lobbed it years ago. Bought one in Aldi recently, brilliant!

Never had any probs. Cook a huge vat of spag.bol or whatever and eat some, freeze some. That way you've always got a ready supply of cheap, enonomically cooked grub. :)

I have to say that buying a slow cooker was one of our better moves. We cook in bulk and then freeze what we don't use. Our freezer is full of ready cooked meals but we sometimes forget to label them so half the fun is the surprise of the mystery package and when you've had a long day at work and don't have to start cooking it's a bonus :)

    Morning all!

Has anyone got any experience of being on a DMP with CCCS and then making F&F offers to some of your creditors?

Was this allowed or did CCCS say you could't do it?

I've just had a letter from Welcome to say they're refunding my PPI payments and after the arrears I will have a bit left over so I thought I might make some F&F offers to my lowest creditors.

    Any advice anyone please?
