I'm excited already.
Congratulations! :j:j:j
Cue to tissues and snivelling - it's a wedding - DMP or not! So, it's your day, and that's all that really counts.
So much good advice from others already for you. You could also check out charity shops (they even have on-line sites now) for some beautiful dresses at bargain basement prices. And E-bay, and local newspaper 'for sale' ads. Maybe just have a small gathering after, with friends/family contributing dishes to the feast, and wedding gifts of bubbly for the day. (If you've been together a while, do you really need more teaspoons????) If it's summer, why not throw tradition to the wind and have an alfresco/picnic type 'do' in the back garden?
And best of all why not have a 'Greek wedding' - it's customary for the guests to pin money onto the bride's dress! :rotfl:
(Mind you the Greeks are on a DMP of their own now)

Had my DMP review this arvo, after tallying up I managed an increase of £10 a month, more through cutbacks on insurances than anything else! It's still gonna be a struggle, but happy with that I think.
Hope everyone here is well with all of ya on here.
And it's a big congrats to you too then! Brilliant to increase your amounts, when its becoming harder each month just to maintain the same level of payment.
And as we're having a love-fest on here and I'm in a generous mood here is a big :kisses3: just for you! (Bet you hate it when I'm nice to you)

Hello all! Hope you're well. I tried to catch up but it's been so long since I've been on this thread that I got a bit lost!
Everything has been plodding along, really. I made my first payment to CCCS at the beginning of this month, and this morning got my first acceptance letter from Barclaycard! They've accepted the plan but are reducing interest to 3% (about £1.10 per month out of a £5 payment grr) instead of freezing it. Still, better than nothing, eh!0 -

I found that when I made the 1st payment it felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders - the next big lift is when the 1st set of statements come through with the balances going down, and then when the 1st debt clears - when that happened I did a little jig round the room.DFD - June 20120 -

update time.
Have not posted in such a long time but have been trying to keep up.
anyway, I feel sick and really starting to panic. We have been on dmp with CCCS for 7 months all is going well. The only ones who are being extremely awkward is HSBC (OH has got CC with them).
Received letter today claiming we have not contacted them....wrong! we sent a letter back in May:eek: the letter is a final demand stating we want £8,100 in 14 days or we send account to Debt collectors or contact solicitors or take you to court!
what the hell!?!?! have just emailed CCCS with copy of letter, to see what they say.
But.....I feel sick, all alone, OH at work have not told him yet.
What is going to happen??? shall we write again recorded delivery.
help someone!:eek:LBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0
