missold secured loan

Hi just enquiring about some advice on a secured loan with welcome finance,in feb 2007 i lent 17,350 i currently owe 15,500 and pay 370 a month for the next 7 years, a company called Delete uk contacted me regarding been mi-sold this loan they said it could be legally enforceable if it did not comply with the consumer credit act 1974 , they asked for a upfront fee of 495 to cover an audit report with all of it refundable if unsuccessful there fee is 10 percent of debt plus vat do you think this is a scam or could you offer me any advise .

    1. How did they know about your loan?

    2. On what grounds were you mis-sold?

    3. Why do they need £500 up front?
  • 1. threw me re claiming ppi successfully number passed on by claim company
    2. not sure they check that out ie how much interest you pay back etc
    3. to cover audit report ?

    Give me the money instead.
    You will never see it again but at least you will have the satisfaction of knowing it will be used wisely.

    Otherwise you will be more in debt thanyou are now - don't do it it is a con!

    Being thick doesn't get you into debt.
    Spending more than you earn does.
  • too true also was made redundant and they refused pay protection insurance got good job now but the interest is so bloody high
