It confused me as well, Fitzer!
Mind you, I'm confusing everyone by saying goodnight and then lurking around!
And, you are right, it is very sad news:(:("What does not kill me makes me stronger". Frederich Nietzsche, 1844-1900.0 -
I had been wondering about Niddy's comment the other day about retiring. I thought it may have been because of those Lloyds threats - looks like he was getting alot more flak than just that though.
I think if Niddy really is gone, his last Unenforcability thread should be locked and made into a sticky so that others can see it at the top of the first page of the DFW forum. Not sure who you need to contact to do this though.
One of the problems with Trolls is that they may get banned, but often they come back. I'm not sure if the Mods can ban an IP address rather than just a user account, but there are ways around that too.
One thing i am sure of is that Niddy deserves a break. If you look at the amount of time he was spending on the site - it was basically a full time job on top of looking through all the documentation he would have received. I'm glad he'll be spending more time with his family but i agree he is a great loss to the site.
I've recently had to cut right back on the amount of time i spend on here. I don't think i would be able to just stop though - even if i was debt free. I'm hoping that a certain cheeky little imp will be watching from a distance in a new disguise. It's not just trolls that can do that you know. He may not be posting in his usual manner or possibly even at all, but i like to think he'd pop back every so often just to keep an eye on some things.
Hopefully we can continue his work and ensure that any accounts with an unenforcable CCA do not make the banks or DCA's any more money.
I know at times Niddy and i seemed to disagree one a few of the finer points of some topics and the approach that could be used in some of the subjects we discussed, but i respect what he has achieved and i respect him. We're going to miss that little imp and i hope he knows that the people he has touched here will remember him and appreciate his time and efforts.
