    Morning (or rather afternoon) everyone.

Every time I was going to log on something happened, phone calls, putting washing out etc.

I haven't had the chance yet to catch up on all the gossip from last night. I'm going out tonight (again!!) to watch a Chippendale-type act. I promise I will NOT get drunk tonight!!

You do live it up, Pixie!

And why not get drunk - it doesn't do any harm (occasionally!)

Occasionally being the word!! Being drunk twice in the last 2 weeks is quite enough :D

I might be saying something different tomorrow though :o

Di. I do hope your son hears some good news soon. The waiting is awful.

    Thank you Pixiechick.

Well they did just ring and unfortunately he did not get it, but......so he asked for feedback, they said they narrowed it down to just himself and another from 15 they interviewed, and the other had slight more experience and they felt it had to be offered to her.
(we think this is the one already working for them as temp), but never mnd hey, it was still good feedback and interview experience helps.:);)
He does seem a little disappointed but they did say he interviewed very well, which was why they could not make up their minds until today, as they were hoping to give the outcome yesterday.

    Better luck next time.;)

Sorry to hear he didn't get it Di. He's bound to be disappointed but at least he can be positive about the good feedback.

PS it really annoys me when they say they've given the job to someone with more experience - surely they can tell from the application how much experience each candidate has got!

    Sorry to hear this, Di.

Pity that the other candidate was already working for them!

I bet your son was the "reserve" for the post and that they were waiting for the other one to confirm that they were definitely accepting!

Not sure whether this helps or not - but, as you say, the experience will stand him in good stead. Let's hope another opportunity comes along soon - you never know what's around the corner in this strange life!

Thank you for your lovely kind words folks.

Yes it is annoying, but he was actually prepared, due to overhearing staff in another office yesterday, asking what time is their interview for that actual position - whilst he was waiting to be interviewed.

He seems to be okay now though, thank you all, your all so lovely.:A
