Body Shop

What does everyone think of the Body Shop products? I use their face cream and White Musk perfume oil. I was wondering if their hair care is any good?

I love everything from the body shop. i have never had anything i didn't like. i also stock up when ever there is a good deal on and with all the glitches in the last few months i have got 8 boxes full under my bed. the hair care is really good although it did take me a while to get used to the shampoo. the one product i cant live with out is the Grapeseed Glossing Serum its the best i have ever tried.

If you have frizzy, damaged, dry hair, bodyshop honey S&C is wonderful. It really helped get my hair back into condition.

Has anyone tried the Amlika leave in conditioner? I've heard good reports on it and at one time it was sold out at all the shops so I assume its good.

I am tempted by the honey shampoo as my hair is dry and gets frizzy but its very fine and prone to greasiness at the roots so I was wondering if it might be too heavy. My hair is coloured also.

It is heavy, and wouldn't be good for anyone with fine hair. I used it alternate with other products to stop a build up. Not for everyday use.

Re haircare I've tried the banana, honey and olive ranges. I tried the banana one first, really lovely smell and while I liked it I don't think it was anything spectacular so would only buy again at a great price. I hated the honey one, it did nothing for my dry hair and just made it look really dull and unwashed:( Even my OH commented on how bad it made my hair look:eek: The olive one though was amazing, really moisturised my dry hair and left it looking so shiny. Definitely my favourite one.

Thanks for your replies. I notice they do a white nettle range for greasy hair which would suit me but on the other hand my hair is coloured so don't know whether to go for the coloured/dry hair range of the greasy. My hair does soon get very limp and flat.

Ooh I might try the olive oil one next then. My hair loves olive oil. I was going to try the banana one but it had mixed reviews so I didn't bother.

My hair is coloured too and I found the olive one to be great. My hair, though very dry, tends to go greasy at the roots if not washed every day so I'd be tempted to try the nettle one next time I need to buy some. Maybe order some of the minis to see which one suits your hair better? If you do order don't forget to use the 20% off code here

I personally think BS products are a tad overpriced. My mum used to go to one of the original BS way back in the early 70's and she said their products were always cheap enough for any student. Seems like now they've been taken over by L'oreal the prices have gone up alot!

Saying that though I do like their shea butter and coco butter, though now I'm experimenting with buying it raw and whipping it myself. I also used to buy BS coconut hair serum, now I just buy the coconut oil. I used to buy the BS white musk perfume, now I just get the Jovan Musk perfume oil. I've also started conditioner only washing my hair, and using the oil celansing method for skin cleansing - all of which has cut down my BS spending sprees! I am still a sucker for their makeup though.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!
