Tesco vouchers ebay - can i use them?

I bid online on ebay for tesco vouchers with the sole purpose of booking the eurotunnel - however i have since found out the eurotunnel vouchers will be in the sellers name, which means they would be of no use to me. Can anyone advise? Paid £44.50 for them so feeling a bit foolish now!!

Only thing i can think of is finding a decent SA instore to accept them and using them off your shopping as dont think you will be able to use them on clubcard deal offers :(

No, you can't use them as they will be under the wrong name.

No, you can't use them for euro tunnel, get the seller to change them into something that you can use like restaurant vouchers or days out vouchers.

Not sure from your comment if the vouchers have already been changed into Eurotunnel vouchers. Often sellers put a warning on the item about this situation. If so, you have no comeback. However, if not, you could ask them if they will send them back & ask for the points to be added back to their Tesco account. You would need to check whether this is possible for these particular vouchers but I believe it can be done for some vouchers if they are still in date. Then you will need to negotiate whether they will refund your cash or whether you ask them to get say restaurant or day out vouchers for you. I think they are not very likely to co-operate as you really should have checked before buying but it has to be worth asking.

If however you will be receiving her actual clubcard vouchers with her name on, you can use them as cash instore. I have done this in the past. You need to use your keyfob when paying as this does not show any name.
