Also are the salary bands you mentioned the same for scotland?
  • Whatever loan you get - only pay your fees when you have to! Even if you had the money in your bank account, you can earn interest on it! Of course that only applies if they will a.) let you pay in instalments and b.) they don't charge a fee for doing so.

The rates are the same for Scotland - NHS payscales are the same North and South of the border. In Wales different rules apply, they pay slightly less for doctors, I'm not sure about other jobs in the NHS.
Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%

Great thankyou for all you great advice Paul. Im doing the accelerated two years course in OT. I've just discussed it some more and decided the cheapest thing and most affordable thing for me to do is to lend the money from my dad through his morgage.

Luckily his morgage is flexible and repayments are very very low at moment as he doesnt owe much so even if i borrowed 20,000 to cover living expenses and tuition i would only need to pay him less than £90 a month to pay the difference in his morgage repayments. Also when i graduate if i wanted to pay a big chunk off what i borrowed i can do so.Better to be in debt in the long term to someone i can trust rather than these nasty interest loans from banks.

Thanks again Paul you have helped me loads
