Oh sorry i want very clear he has never recieved one but the Centre director has scribbled changes all over it before he gave it to him, apparently he needs to have a read through it then it will be re-typed up.
Fat chance, they are trying to get him over a barrel. 3 months notice!!!!! Why exactly is this wrong?
The standard contract will exist but will need to be customised for different roles etc.
In my view your OH either signs it and accepts it; or walks. It will be hard to argue otherwise as he doesnt seem to know what his "current" terms are.
Personally I think a situation may be being created here that isnt necessary. My advice in the currrent climate would be for him to sign his contract and put this behind him.0 -
Just to clarify something here. Your husband doesnt actually have to sign the contract if he disagrees with the changes. BUT if he carries on working there, an ET will look upon this a deeming to accept the "new" contract because he continued to turn up for work!0
