Hi All
Is it me or is the frequency of ED increasing. Ever time I log on here seems to be someone else has got ED.
I know we all said before that we should expect to do the full 12months but I think deep down we all hope for early discharge.
End of June will be 6mths since I went BKO and the time has flown but I do still dream of an ED.
Looks like I have to keep dreaming. Either way by the end of the year I be done, roll on 2011.

My wife has been put forward for ED, letters sent back in March whilst I am not up for ED, and look to be in it for the 12 months. To be honest I am not bothered, as I went in to it expecting the full 12 months and 6 and half of those have gone already.:pB&SC No. 298

We sent out paperwork back beginning of May, and haven't heard anything back yet, although expect it would be a couple more weeks yet until we would anyway.
We were (are) quite prepared to wait the full 12 months, but since the ED thing reared it's head I have been on tenterhooks and hoping it will be ED, as I think I will be devastated if neither of us get it now, as the hope is there iyswim.
We are now just over halfway through the year now, so I know it's not long, but it would just be nice for it to be all over with.0 -

We are nearly 10 months in now to BR. I remember alot of posts around our 6/7 months mark from people who had got ED and had gone BR around the same time as us. It was about that time our cases were transferred to RTLU and NDU also so I thought that could be a sign investigations were winding down.
However theres been no sign of ED for us, we have never had any I/E forms sent out or anything like that. In fact havent had any contact with them for a long time. So we are patiently waiting for our AD day. It will be the day before our 18th Wedding Anniversary, so going to make sure we celebrate both events to the full!!! :beer:0 -
I got ED in May, 6 months after BR. OR advised during interview that ED depends on a number of factors - how complex the case, how many assets, how many creditors (as they all have to agree to ED), how busy the office was, if there was any backlog, even sickness levels and holidays at OR's office.
My case was fairly straightforward but I had just tried to plan for discharge at 12 months and anything earlier was a bonus. As the summer was approaching I assumed if it was to come it would be after the summer, Sept or Oct time (12 months would have been Nov). It was a nice surprise when I opened my post last week to discover ED had been 19th May.
I would try to put it out of your mind as much as possible. Don't know how you feel about BR, but the biggest sense of relief for me was the day at court. Opening the letter last week was nice obviously but no big weight off the shoulders like I had in Nov. Of course it's nice that it is all over officially, but it was over for me the day I went BR. Sure, I can now start the process of repairing my credit but as it will be 6 years before it disappears from my file, the 6 months won't make a big difference to that. My life this week is the same as it was last week when I still thought I was undischarged - stress free and nobody knocking or calling for money.
If it comes, it comes, if not, don't fret your time will be up soon enough.
Good luck anyway.0
