Earning from home - My challenge

Hi this is the first new thread I've posted. I'm currently on a months holiday from work as we've just moved house. I'm looking for ways to earn a bit of extra cash that can go towards my debts. I've tried to get some labouring work and that sort of thing but nothing going at the moment. I've decided to see how much I can earn through the internet/ at home for the next month. Here's what i'm doing so far

Registered with Pigsback, Quidco, Freefivers, Onepoll.com and testandvote to do surveys and cashback shopping. Any other ideas for surveys. I know they don't pay much but if I get £10 from each thats £50. Every penny counts

Selling on Ebay. This is going well but running out of things to sell.

Anyone got any other ideas on how to make a bit of extra cash on a temporary basis. I'm willing to do anything. Also, if anyones in a similar position then i'd be happy to go head-to-head for a while. I like a bit of a challenge. look forward to hearing from you all. Happy money saving.

Have you tried places like Dooyoo / Ciao where you can review products and earn a (small) amount when the review gets read? You won't rake it in, but if you like to write its a nice way to pass the time and get a little reward.

If you are looking for something that isn't internet based how about advertising to do some ironing/gardening/dog-walking/cleaning/casual bar work?

  • So youve sold all your bits on ebay why not try someone elses?
Become a trading assistant. I had one a few years back and it worked very well for all involved. At the time I hadnt the time to list all my bits. She took 5-10% of the selling price. I paid the fees etc.
Worked very well. In fact I wish I could find one now

Thanks for your quick replies everyone. Here's where i'm at so far...

£103 in my paypal account from Ebay and got a couple of things left to sell.

£73 in my quidco account. I got £20 back for buying a £1 simcard with £10 credit free from easymobile, £12.50 back for signing up to screenselect free trial, £40 for registering with totesport and putting 10 £1 bets on the challenge cup final (one of which came in at 16/1).

£90 to come once I credit my new A&L account with my wage on the 1st.

Not sure about the Desire thing, not really my scene. I'd like to do lawnmowing, hedge cutting, dog walking etc... i'll advertise today

Does anyone know anything about brochure packing/delivering? I'd like to have a go at this but not sure where to start looking.
  • Hi Sutty, which option did you choose on Screen Select to get the cashback? That sounds like a great one!
