Pay Raise - Not Paying Up. Help?

I started working at my current job on August 23rd 2009 along with 3 other new starters. After a 6 month probationary period you're supposed to get a small raise which works out at about £40 a month. The people who started a few months before me all got their raise (a month late and back-dated) , but after hounding our managers for the past 3 months nothing has happened.
Today one of us rang the head office and we were informed that they hadn't been notified about us coming off the probationary period despite them being the ones who sent us the letters confirming it! I first asked my manager at the end of February who said they'd chase it up, but alas they haven't.
I can't find anything in my job description that says about a raise, but we've always been told we would and everyone else always has.
Is there anything I can do?
Any help/advice would be appreciated. The boss is taking the !!!! saying he'd ask when he clearly hasn't!
Thanks

if it is not in writing it makes it very hard to prove but if it has been verbally said then maybe put a grievance in via their normal procedures. Just be aware that because you have not worked 1 year it is easier to be dismissed. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

I think the 3 of you have to confront your boss[es] and say "We raised this with you at the end of Feb and you said you would chase it up. Now Head Office say they have not been notified, so what are we to make of this????"
Oh, yes you have not been there a year [yawn] so they can dismiss you. But if you have done a reasonable job , it would be a stupid company which would go down this path - and you might be better off out.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. How come they can get rid of me easier? Is there a law that states this? We're already talked to the managers about this and they just said that they'd get in contact with them once everyone gives a copy of the letter saying we finished the probationary period. What would the next step be?
