Hi,
sorry if anything like this has been asked or answered before i looked and could'nt find anything.
I was having a look in cash generator the other day (Saturday 5th june) and seen a nice 50 " tv, i asked about it and and was told i would be able to put a deposit down of 136 pound and odd pence, and then pay it off over a period of 12 weeks. i payed the deposit and also some extra money to leave 300 pound to pay, (payed 379.99p.
anyway, something has come up that has forced me to have to cancel, and now i am been told i will not be able to get the deposit refunded, but just get the extra that i had payed, i was just wondering, if there is anyway out of this as it has only been 3 days since i payed the amount i stated
any help would be greatly appreciateed as the amount is alot to lose
thankyou

Don't understand why you had to buy a 50" TV if you had no money! What's wrong with something smaller?0 -
i seriously dont know why i seem to be attracting people that think they need to comment on things for no reason, please if you dont have anything helpfull to say dont say anything, i didnt ask what your thoughts were on whether or not i should buy a 50 inch telly did i.0

We cannot possibly help you with what you have posted as we do not know what contract you signed.
What do the T&C say about cancellation??0 -

Attracting PEOPLE who think THEY need to comment! but you've only had ONE response to your single post so why the plurals?0 -
I always thought that that was the point of a deposit...
You pay it, as an act of good faith that you will complete payment. And if you then cancel, you forfeit it. That's what "deposit" has meant to me...0 -

If you change your mind, this is not the shops fault, and they may have been able to offload it on someone else.
Money gone i'm afraid.deanew2009 wrote: »i seriously dont know why i seem to be attracting people that think they need to comment on things for no reason, please if you dont have anything helpfull to say dont say anything, i didnt ask what your thoughts were on whether or not i should buy a 50 inch telly did i.
You asked a question and got a few answers you didn't like.
BTW......Nearly £700 for a second hand 50" TV is a ridiculous price anyway. New is cheaper than that.0 -
why don't you sell the telly?Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
