Credit Check help!

Hi there,

I have been successful for a Job through an agency, however, the credit check that was required came back as a fail!!! I was furious as I do not understand why that has happened.

The agent told me to do another FREE credit check online, which I am awaiting results for at the moment.

I just wanted to know what actually affects someones credit? How long does this bad credit rating stay with you? I am a student and do not have any debts, apart from University debts, could that be the reason?

I would really appreciate some guidance.

Ask for a copy of what they have on you. You may have to pay, but it is data they hold on you - or someone does and you have the right to see it and to insist it is put right. If you think you are clean this is probably more effective than guessing from another credit report.

Contract Mobile? Not on the electoral role? Joint acount with someone in debt? What are the University debts? Are they overdue? Association with bad utility accounts while a student?

Just in case no-one has realised. Kevin O'neill has changed his company name again!! It has been known as:

JPK advertising,
Business advertising,
and now JMS marketing!

If that doesnt sum up what this company is about, I dont know what does!

I'm actually suprised that this SCAM of a company is still going and hasnt been closed down yet.

According to Kevin O'neill (under one of his fake names that he uses to post on here) this thread is under investigation for affecting his recruitment process!!

Well Kev, it wouldnt have to if youre staff turnover wasnt so high and you were actually honest with people when you give them the old 5 steps in the interview!!

And also, This thread has saved the jobseekers of merseyside thousands of pounds in bus fares and train fares and primark suits.
So to complain that it is costing you money is just KARMA my friend!:money:
