I am about to cook a Dhal Curry (I got the recipe off here this pm), but it says in the recipe:
2 potatoes, peeled & diced
I know i'm probably being thick and it's obvious.. but what does 'amp' stand for?

Surely that's just a typo, and it should be peeled and diced.
Have you got a link for the recipe?.....0 -
It is from the computer when an ampersand is put in. Nothing to do with the recipe!!0

It's not obvious
It's because for some reason there is a problem with the code in the webpage and it isn't displaying properly. "&" is html code for an ampersand (the & symbol).
So it just wants to to peel AND dice your potatoes!0 -
It'll just be 'and'...Peeled and diced.
I've noticed this sometimes happens with older posts on forums. I think it might be when a forum updates, or gets moved0 -
Thanks your replies. The recipe was from the indexed collection but it would take me ages to find again.
I'' just peel and dice the pots then......you are all wonderful0
