Advice on BR - House

Hi,

Im new to these boards so please be gentle!

Ok, so I have been advised today by the CCCS that BR is my best option. My problem being is that last year I got married and now live with my Wife obviously.

The house is in her name and always has been, always will be, but im not sure of the consequences if I do go BR in regards to the hosue, will we ( or she ) be forced to sell ???

Whilst she is supportive and is aware of the problems I dont really want to make her loose out as it was hers before we met .

Any advice would be welcome,
Thanks
:o

    Hello and welcome

    They will take into considerataion

How long she has owned the property
How long have you lived with her
How much you have paid into the house ie towards the morgtage, towards the up keep etc

If you can answer these someone will be a long in a bit who can offer a bit more advice

    Cheers

  • Curly,

Thanks for the reply, ok she has lived there for 13 years , I have been there for 6.

I pay monies to her, which goes into her bank account where the mortgage and bills etc gets taken out of.

Its hard to be exact how much I have paid as I have always given money to her ( initially it was rent for a room to stay but then turned into relationship ).

Its not the fact of BR that worries me its the fact that she could loose out!.

What is the position of the property at the moment, ie how much is it worth, how much are the mortgages/secured loans
