Britannia / Co-op 5 year Fixed

Has anyone heard any whispers about the 3.99% rate ending today?

We have applied for the 5 yr capped tracker with Britannia (currently base rate plus 2.49 = 2.99% capped at 5.99%) but when they cut their 5 yr fixed a couple of weeks back from 4.49% to 3.99% (75% LTV) it seemed that bit more attractive.

I thought I had a few more days to decide but now afraid that this rate may disappear before I've had the chance to really look at the figures and discuss with OH.

Any thoughts?

If you want the 5 year fix at 3.99% you need to get a move on and sort yourself out.
Its the best on the market and the LTV is 75% so I bet buisness is busy at the coop today.

The best way is to do it via the telephone with the coop this is beacuse britainia give u the paperwork then you have to wait for the offer so could take a week so u might miss it. with the coop they send offer straight away applied yesterday and go offer today

Hi coop and britinina have murged and I have mortage with coop and the fees for me were only £599 because i am just transfering. If you dont have a coop bank acount its £999 so may be worth getting one. The other fees most other will charge also. All I can say they have been great to use so far.

I think its a total of £999 + valuation and exit fee payable when u leave

website says £999 including £150 booking fee plus £140 exit fee and another paragraph:-

'If you are switching your existing mortgage to us, we'll also pay your standard legal fees and basic valuation fees for you (remortgagers) if you use our recommended solicitors and surveyors'

i am getting confused. I called the co op to make an appointment and someone from the britannia called me back, i missed the call so will call back tomorrow. I know they have merged but i want to arrange it through the co-op as there fees are less. Will i be able to do this? or will they make me go through Britannia?

    Hiya

All new mortages are done via britania now but if have a coop mortage u deal with coop via phone. The reduced cost is because i have account with them. I advice check that if u move banks to coop and then take the deal u will save £400.

    hope that helps
