Just bought my first gas barbecue.
Where's the best place to buy a gas bottle and some gas?
Any advice please!

Have you a camping store nearby? Or look up Domestic Gas supplier in the Yellow pages, they ususally deliver possibly for a fee, kame sure you get the right type of gas for your BBQ and enjoy....if it stops raining...

you need to find out which gas regulator you have as well as only certain gas bottles will fit certain gas regulators. Unfortunately most diy store gas bbq's come with a more specialist regulator fitting which means the gas is then more expensive. Also you then need to buy/pay deposit on the the initial gas bottle which again is expensive. A good method would be to try and get a free gas bottle from the local tip. When you buy the refill you then get given a new gas bottle anyway. Might be cost effective to change the regulator to a more standard fit butane type push fitting (I use 15kg cylinders on mine).

Personally I'd avoid B&Q or other large DIY stores as you'll end up with the 'oh this is the special BBQ gas that you need' £££'s where as the large butane bottles are far more cost effective.
