m and s sofa- want to buy help needed!

Hi, can anyone help me?
I have seen a couple of sofas that I really love on the m and s web site but they are soooo expensive! Does anyone know when they have a sale on their furniture??
And because I would be buying them without actually having ever sat on one, has anyone ever had a duff sofa from marks?
Thanks everyone
CJ

Yes, I'm not impressed with the sofas I purchased from them a few years ago. The polyfibre filled seat cushions went very saggy very quickly, despite us following their daily plumping advice. I wouldn't buy from them again.

They've just had a home event with 20% off this past bank holiday weekend... they usually do on bank holiday weekends.

I've bought chairs from here. It's stuff that have been sent out to M and S customers and then returned. All half price. I have no financial interest with the company. It's in Banbury and Noke (oxfordshire).

The sales are fairly regular for homewares so keep checking their site.

Use Quidco, the current rate for cashback is 3%...not sure if it varies.

Use an M&S credit card, basically you'll get 1% back in vouchers to use in store. Sometimes they have double or triple points vouchers so you could save a lot more.

If you know someone that works for M&S they get 20% staff discount.

With a sale, quidco, M&S card and staff discount all used in conjunction (they can all be used together) you could save a very large amount :)

I had 2 M&S sofas about 10 years ago from M&S, was really pleased with them and only replaced them last year as the fabric had worn out on one of them from constant use. I was really sad to see them go. I paid about £2000 for the sofas and a footstool so for 10 years, £200 ayear. I bought a couple of sofas for £400, they're not as good but if they last 2 years it's still £200 a year. I couldn't afford M&S ones but did try them out anyway but fond them a bit softer to sit on than I would like. Some people like their sofas soft and squishy but I'm not one of them. DD thinks I'm so funny as I can sit on a sofa and stand staright up as I know it's not the one for me, she even got that she could sit on one and go "too low" or "too soft". As I'm so fussy I couldn't buy without trying. Our £400 ones are ok but I loved my M&S sofas.
