Thanks, but not cheap for my route & time.

Trying to get to Vancouver over Xmas for a couple of weeks, and the prices are double what they usually are.

C.Affair comes up with this : GBP 736.00

    Any ideas anyone?

Can be flexible with route/dates/period etc, as long I'm in Vancouver (Island to be precise) for Xmas and New Year!

I fly to/from Canada quite a lot and have never found an airline cheaper than Canadian Affair. Their aircraft tend to have good legroom too;even though I'm 6'7" I can manage OK for a 9-hour flight if I book an aisle seat.
  • I've travelled with Canadian affair for a number of years, and used to use flyzoom before they closed.
I recently missed my outbound leg of a return journey to canada, and was told the return was automatically cancelled and I would have to rebook the whole journey.
I complained, wasn't given a response for 2 weeks and then complained to ABTA, which said they did nothing wrong..
Also, they do not allow date changes on tickets.

it's normal for airlines to cancel the return leg if you don't take the outbound flight. also you should read the terms and conditions when you book to see whether changes are allowed and at what cost. generally speaking, the cheaper flights don't allow any changes and are non-refundable. depending on the reason why you couldn't travel, you may be able to claim on your travel insurance - provided you took some out.
