Buy To Let Mortgages

Hi All,

I hope to purchase a house for £68K and I am putting down a deposit of 30%, however most deals I am being offered by mortgage companies are rather poor seeking over £1000 for arrangement fees and penalising mortgage overpayments.

Are there any companies that offer buy to let mortgages without overpayment charges and with smaller arrangement fees?

The rates and fees reflect the risk of commercial lending. What you need to focus on is finding a property that will provide a return even with incurring these costs. Not the other way round.

Unfortunately that is the way of the BTL in terms of fees.

You can get lower fees, but then the rates go a lot higher - and then would you fit the rental calculation?

As for penalising overpayments - most lenders will allow overpayments within certain limits.
