1. probably
2. really? I wouldnt take on debt on behalf of a bloke I was just about to move in with - what if he walks away
3. why would you renovate a rented house for the benefit of the landlord? Find somewhere less manky and pay slightly higher rent - much saferDebt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
You would certainly be able to change which bank account the dd comes out of but if the loan is in your name only then you will be legally liable for the whole loan, putting it in a joint account will not make your boyfriend legally responsible for the debt.
I would only do this if you can afford to pay the full loan yourself should you split up or boyfriend loses his job etc.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
