well its hard to say as i dont know what type of camera it is. Normally its a plug and play, so once pluggled into the usb and the camera is turned on it XP will try and install the hardware. Does this happen??. With no software provided it may be a generic one so it should find the drivers automatically. But without knowing the make and model, it may be hard to find the drivers if needed.
Once the camera is installed then it will act just like another drive. So go to MY Computer and it will be assigned a drive letter (ie G:/) click on this and then cut and paste the pics to wherever you want to store themSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
try doing a google for the make/model of the camera, you should find manuals and drivers for it if you look hard enough do a search for " manual (make/model)" in google, see if that helps:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

You should have received a CD with the camera which has the camera driver, software and user guide on it. It's quick and easy to install (had to do it again yesterday for the laptop). The camera functions well as a webcam though there is no audio. If you're sure you didn't get the CD in the box or can't find it you could contact Which? (scroll down to question 38 onwards and particularly 41) and maybe return it and get another one. FYI the software is ArcSoft but I can't find the download on their website.

We tried this and although it worked it gave a poor quality picture as a webcam and has no mic. You'd be better off buying a cheap logitech!
