Hey, I'm too drunk to offer decent advice now, but best of luck.
I just noticed this:I totalled up my debt, (I would say "ours" but according to oh it's all my fault)....
....
oh wanted £7500 bike. got that,
Anyway, the main lesson from MSE and the DFW board is to face up to the problem however large it seems. I've been amazed by the debts that people have cleared on here. So, well done for posting and I'm sure loads of support will be here for your help.Happy chappy0 -
Hi Igiveup
Just wanted to say welcome on board and well done the great start you have made reducing your debt
Zippy x
Edited to add have you posted on the health board as they have a dentist who posts on there he may be able to give you some advice to reduce the cost of your implants0 -
Well at least you are looking at the bigger picture. You definitely need to get out of your relationship if you aren't happy. If you post your outgoings then maybe we can help you save some money towards your debts/ implants. Have you got lots of quotes for the work on your teeth? I only ask because i have read so many things about cosmetic dentistry been far cheaper abroad. Good luck.
We will all help you

welcome Igiveup – it's 2.30 in the morning and I too feel incapable of offering sensible advice, but I'm so glad you've joined MSE, you'll get loads of help here. You've done so well sorting your debt & saving money for implants. I hope it feels like no time before you've got the rest!!!!0 -
You can do this and the DFW's will help you all the way.
Best to post a SOA and probably best to start a new post called Igiveup SOA and we will all give are best advice to help.
I suspect one reason you are posting at 1.30am is due to not being able to sleep because of the debt.
I know it is easy for me to say when I say it is only money. You like to have cht with Payplan and CCCS they have helped many members here.
All the best.
Yours

Thanks for the support last night.
Couldn't sleep, as soon to be ex oh is still here, can't move out for a couple of weeks and I'm getting overwrought to say the least.
I looked at going abroad for implants but I don't have the best of conditions in my mouth, not enough bone etc so it's not straight forward.
My dentist has sent me to the implant man and then my dentist will make the teeth for them, I trust him so much so I just daren't go anywhere alse.
I've dreaded dentures all my life, now I have to have them for at least 3 months before the first stage of implants.
I hate it, can't eat want to gag all time and he's made them tiny for me,
Anyway, I'm stressed out, can't eat or sleep, lost my appetite and feel completely overwrought most of the time.
I'm going to post a soa soon, but basically
My oh will accept £7500 of the debt as the cost of his bike and clear the overdraft so I'm not starting from behind the start line!
I'll be left with around £5300 to pay off and then I'll have to get hold of the balance of implant money next year.
The debt is on fairly low life of balance cards, so nothing to move there.
Having said that, the way things are going here at the moment the chances of us parting amicably are getting a bit thin.
I think I might go and post on the relationship etc board lol0 -
