Prescription Sunglasses, can I get normal non-presciption ones reglazed

Maybe this is a stupid question, but does anyone know if it is possible to get normal, of the shelf, non fancy shop bought sunglasses reglazed to prescription lenses through glasses direct or equivalent?

I.e. I have some plastic framed sunglasses I bought for £20 from boots. They are nothing fancy at all, not branded, but I like the glasses and the style of the fames. The lenses at the minute are just plastic lenses that can be popped out of the frames with a bit of force. Do you think it would be possible to reglaze these to prescription lenses?

i have had new lenses put in old frames before... but years ago. i guess it's worth asking at an optician's - i was once told that it isn't cost effective so if there's an extra charge, it might be cheaper to find a similar pair that's new. since then, i haven't asked.....
