Wearing Glasses on my wedding day

Ladies

I need your help

I have worn glasses all my life and don't like contacts or what I look like without them.

However am trying to find a pair I can wear on my wedding day and I am struggling.

Anyone know of any place that does sparkly/ivory/not bright red glasses that I could get to get married in.

Thanks

Bx

What sort of budget do you have for the spex? How much you willing to pay?

Chanel frame CH2118HB colour C304 Beige front (sort of matt pale gold) white sides with diamant c's.

    Link to a pic

Not very MSE though, I'm afraid :(

    Hi Laura

Obviously as little as possible but it all depends on the glasses and if they are right :)

Do you normally wear thin frames or thick? What lense shape?
I bought sparkly glasses from Specsavers last year so it may be worth looking there.

Why not wear your normal day to day glasses? It seems pointless buying some just for the wedding when you need to wear them all the time. I need to wear specs all the time and never contemplated getting new ones just to get married in.

To echo Horace, instead of splashing out on a one-off prescription, why not get some fun clear lense glasses (something like this? http://www.partygoodsandfancydress.com/images/BA142.jpg )
And ask your optician if they can give you a free trial of contact lenses?
  • Not much help but wanted to reply as was talking about this over the weekend with my h2b, I'm just going to wear my normal ones, I look 'lost' without them on anyway and not keen on contacts. I kinda like the idea of having pictures without them on but as this is how I normally look, it will just have to be :)
I love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Hmm Horace the reason I am looking for a diff pair is that my day to days are bright red which wouldn't go down with my dress although when I go and try it on again I shall check.

Rainbow what a fun idea!! however I just don't get on with contacts at all :(

Mrs Manda - my day to day are D&G bright red square frames - sparkly sounds perfect!

What are your wedding colours? Especially the colour of your flowers (if you are having them).

Or just thought, if you're having a tiara perhaps getting some silver frames to match?
