40th "bits" box

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me, i would like to make a little box for my sil 40th birthday which has a marble, a piece of string, a rubber, 1p, and a elastic band in and inside it is a poem as to why the bits are in the box, i can remember some of the reasons why the things are in for eg a marble so that you may not loose yours, 1p so that you will never be skint but I cant remember the rest and i also wondered if there was anything else i could put in the box and the meaning why. I know that at around Christmas time people have made this type of thing and i wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction.
