Equifax - what do I do????!!!!

Santander recently declined my credit card application, so I checked my credit records with Experian and Equifax - no problems found, both excellent. However, there was no sign of any searches by Santander, so they refused my application without ever checking my credit records. I appealed against their decision, and then I noticed they did a search few days ago after receiving my letter. Still waiting for the outcome.
I think that Santander customer service is very slow and poor.0 -

I have had the exact same problem with things not being found.
Essentially my local authority had my address down on the electoral roll in one format whereas Equifax were taking my address from Royal Mail's Postal Address File which was in a different format.
This has caused me problems getting credit and I had to go into the bank branch with the documentation that I *did* have and they were able to phone their internal lending department and obtain their sanction for a credit card, even though the computer had declined me.
It's a nightmare!0 -
Can you work out which of your credit agreements are unrecorded and then contact those companies to ask why not? I don't think they are obliged to inform a credit reference agency that they are lending to you but it seems odd and would be interesting to find out. When did the unrecorded ones get set up? My only WAG is that it was during a boom time and the companies didn't bother to credit check you because your ID was enough.0
