No, the iplayer keeps things for 30 days once you have downloaded them then they automatically delete. I think there's only so many times you can watch them too.
After something has been watched you have another 6 days in which to watch it.
It seems anything that is not BBC content can not be downloaded. e.g Films and Swedish version of wallander

Thanks for that, I knew there were some silly rules about how long you could keep it for once you've watched it but couldn't quite remember what they were!July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -

If you have an ipod touch or iphone just browse to the BBC's iplayer site and you can stream them.0 -
Or you can watch Michael Clayton, a much better film which was broadcast on Sunday night. A Prairie home companion was after that too and is well regarded.0

If you've got a media player like the Archos 605 you can download it and watch it at your leisure rather than as a stream (until the DRM copyright period expires)
Download a few progs at home at your leisure and then watch them on the train or bus or anywhere without the need for an internet connection. If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0
