Help with where to move - ideas please!

Hi,
Myself and my partner are currently living in South Sheffield, however, after experiencing student life here and staying for a further 5 years we're ready for a change. Initially I'll be keeping my job in north Sheffield, and he has a job just off J37 of the M1. We'd like to live somewhere either inbetween, or further north providing I can get to work with no more than a 45 minute drive. Somewhere close ish to the M1 would be good too as it'll help with the commute, and keeping in touch with friends. I have no idea of areas, so any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.:)
