I was flicking the channels tonight when I spotted the One show was on,BBC1- since I saw Martin -the Martin at the top left hand corner there-:money: on it last week, the first time I watched it, I hoped he'd be on again.
But..there was a competition to win Historic Scotland or National Trust membership and $500, I think, I wasn't really paying too much attention...but I knew the answer to where Kelly Holmes was reporting from, so entered online. Since I was here I had a wee browse through MSE...next thing I know I have an e-mail telling me to get in touch because I've won, and my s-i-l texts me to say 'have you just won something on the TV?
How lucky is that? I don't normally do comps, but had been reading through this thread the other day....so thanks to you lovely peeps I'll be getting in free to Historic Scotland Venues:T :j

I entered on line too But obviously didn't win. Your name was read out and on screen, so famous at last. Well done. Nice win. What are you going to blow the £500 on ?0

I don't know!!
so many choices:j
A holiday in October when we thought we'd be too skint? odds are 5-4 on
Horse riding lessons for dd? 3-1
Pamper myself? 100-1
Put it into the savings account. 1000-1
The savings are quite healthy but the current account is a bit on the low side so it'd be nice to have a treat for all the family:beer:
Of course we could use it to visit as many Historic Scotland sites as we can in the year I'll have membership for? Anyone know if it's a single or family membership? (Yes, I know that's hoping for a lot!)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I'll tell the one show when they phone-they are going to contact me some time next week.
Looks like we'll have a weekend in Edinburgh with a visit to Historic Scotland's Edinburgh Castle- we've been to Edinburgh many times and never got time to visit the castle.
All we need to find now is a nice hotel...:jMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
