I am looking for a beach shelter, and have been looking at the ones that literally pop up on ebay. Has anyone had or got one, and are they any good?

Dont you just hate it when you are walking along the beach and a tent pops up underneath you.
Makes the eyes water a bit.

depends, what you really want it for, they arent so stable in breezy weather, and can be a pain to put down again, lol
otherwise home and bargain had small ones you use poles in for around £5...., but with all shelters if it is brezzy you can poss lose the shelter unless you weight it down!!!0 -
Bought one from Millets a couple of years ago in the end of season sale. Used it loads last year, really pleased with it. Got little pockets around the base that you can fill with sand to add weight to keep it in place and small stakes to plant it in the sand. Had no problems with it blowing away and it is made with UV protective material so thats an added bonus. Small flap at back with mesh window to allow breeze through the shelter. Easy to pop up and quick to pack away at end of day. Storage is great as folds down virtually flat. Brilliant buy. Had one with poles before but found it very fiddly.Rare Disease Day28 February 2013 is Rare Disease Day.Raise awareness for patients, families and carers whose lives are affected by rare diseases worldwideUnited we are stronger0
