hi
i have been trying to get an unsecured tenant loan for £22000 but i have 3 default on my report from equifax, i am paying regular monthly payment on each of these, so is that still classed as default or can i ask for them to be removed from my credit report.
also can anyone recommend where i can get my loan from having bad credit i am looking for £22000 over 10 plus years.

Defaults stay on your file for 6 years from the date they are issued regardless of whether they have been fully paid off or not.
You can only get an unsecured loan for a maximum of 7 years.
Even if you were able to get the loan for the amount you require, you will likely have a very high interest rate because of the defaults.
Hope this helps.0 -
i was hoping to get loan over 10 years can you recommend anyone worth trying0

Dear Friend,
Because of your circumstances its going to be hard finding a lender that will lend you that amount of money without charging an excessive interest. For your sanity , have u tried the following .1 looking for a better job 2, Friends and family 3. Your current bank. 4 Partner
The interest you will get charged is not worth the hassleI owe £3233 @ 0%0 -

according to http://www.moneysupermarket.com/loans
the following lenders offer loans over 10 years:
Northern Rock
Tesco
Promise Finance
My guess is Northern Rock and Tesco won't touch you due to your previous defaults. Therefore that would leave you with Promise Finance. I have never heard, or dealt with these in the past so I could not recommend them. However they have a relatively high typical APR (11.8%) and price for risk so may accomodate your previous bad credit.0
