Hello
I've defrosted a couple of pork chops extra by accident when making a dish yesterday. Now I have them sitting spare in the fridge.
I'm not going to get a chance to eat them today or for a few days so was wondering; can I cook them on a gridle and then refreeze them? How would I then reheat them when I wanted them?
I'm open to other ideas but don't have a lot in the cupboard/fridge at the moment (running my stocks down for holiday coming up).
Also, could anyone suggest a nice easy rub to make out of dried herbs/spices? I have most common dried ones in the cupboard but not after making anything too fancy - when I Googled I found rubs made with 8+ dried herbs/spices!
Looking forward to ideas.
Thank you in advance.

Hiya, tried the multi quote button but computer froze
I'd cook the chops then make some stock, (whatever flavoured cubes you have), or real if you have it.
Place in a plastic container and cover with stock. Freeze this.
Then, lets say you are having them for tea tomorrow, take them out of the freeze and put in fridge until tomorrow night. Then cook chops and stock in dish for 35mins at gas mark 6, only ever cooked on gas so can't help with electric conversion.
As for seasoning, I only ever use mixed herbs and black pepper, tastes fine to us.0 -
Fantastic idea Linda.
You ended with 'fine to us' which suggests there is already a family there... so I won't persue you for marrage this time.
Thanks again.
