Im not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes anyway.
I brought a new dress yesterday and then wore it today stupidly decided to do some cleaning and must have got some bleach on my new dress. The dress is dark blue/ navy however now has spots where its gone pink. Is there anyway this can be sorted as its such a shame Im so stupid to ruin it. Thanks in advance.

I did the same thing with a new t-shirt, so tie-dyed it with more bleach

Make sure you wash it NOW to get the bleach out, or it might rot the fabric.
Unfortunately, there's no such thing as anti-bleach. If the dress is expensive and ruined, I might try stripping the rest of the colour out with pre-dye, and then dyeing the lot again. But that would probably cost at least £10 for materials.import this0 -
How expensive was your dress? Did yoiu buy it on CC? If the latter I think yiu might be able to claim for accidental damage- maybe someone else can advise?0

It was only a cheap dress £7.99 but I'm quite careful with money and dont like wasting it.0

Just put it in a bucket of bleach & water solution for a couple of hours, the other spots should go pink then to match.
Make sure you rinse it well then wash it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

What about going over the spots with a fabric marker pen?0

As the dress is now ruined anyway, I'd tr washing the dress to remove the bleach as quickly as possible. Once it's dry you could try dabbing some permanently dark blue felt tip pen or permanent blue ink on the pink spots. You might just be able to disguise them enough to make the dress wearable. Check your contents household insurance terms and conditions. You might just have a clause in them which covers accidental damage which might allow you to replace it.0

Its in the wash now, going to see if I have any pens and hopefully that will work, I guess I should be thankful it wasnt something expensive. But I have learnt my lesson, wear old clothes when doing the cleaning ( or just dont bother cleaning lol). Thanks for everyones advice.0 -
I have loads of clothes that I've bleached! If it's not too big an area get a big pack of kids felt tips, find the nearest match (maybe try on the inside of the dress) and colour the spots in. It will wash out unless you use a permanent marker but you can do it every wash.0

Could you sew on some beads or sequins over the bleach? Get customising!"It's official, MSE's harbouring total fruitcakes">^..^<0
