Mmm thanks spoon, just the job - I see Numpty was here earlier from his hols, just peeping in to see what treats were around I suspect;) Hope you're enjoying yourself Numpty:)
Forgot to mention earlier - great news re Niddy's daughter it has been a long battle for them.
Need to get dressed, am being very lazy this week but oh well it's not that often I get the chance so am making the most of it!!
Back later.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Great news about Niddy's daughter.
BL, good news about the cheque!
I've got up to find an email from the social services financial people telling me that they're not allowing the expenses I appealed about, so I have to contribute £65 towards my direct payments. Problem being, they're to help with my physical problems (ME), and I have expenses relating to my mental health problems (bipolar), which they're not allowing for. I feel like I'm having to choose which one to have help with!
Sorry to moan, I'm just a bit fed up of it all, it's been going on for nearly a year!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Hi Ames
Not surprised you're fed up, you moan away, it's been going on far too long..... Don't understand why you should have to choose between the two if you need help with both, it's like asking you to decide whether to keep your right hand or your left - nonsensical:mad:
Have you tried escalating the claim upwards through social services and copying your MP?
You don't really need this extra aggro, I'm sure.
Take care

Sorry to hear they are still messing you around Ames. I assume you cannot appeal again? It does sound ridiculous that they cannot look at all your health problems and assess you on the basis of both.
Just seen Spoon's suggestion - maybe getting your MP involved would be an idea / or local councillor?
Erme - how are you doing? keeping everyone on their toes from the sound of it? Don't you go making those pidgeons too fat, I'm sure you need the toast more than they do. Hair straightners? no idea, never used them, just don't burn yourself with them!
Hope everyone is okay. Back later.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Fred was slipping, so a bump.
SS and tixy, I had to get my councillor involved just to get a care plan in the first place, they said that I had no reason to go out so didn't need to get washed/dressed etc, and that I could skip meals and hospital appointments when I wasn't well enough. I've emailed my social worker and hopefully my mental health activities can be included pretty easily, he's a specialist in MH so he's pretty good. I just don't understand why they've waited this long to tell me to do that!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
How long is 3dogs on her holibobs for? Does anyone know when she is back? I can see at the rate we are going the new thread will be started whilst half the zappers are away.

Oh I am jealous Looloo - you should see my desk
. I am so untidy. And still have lots to do before I leave today as I'm not at work tomorrow. Beginning to wish I had booked next week off just so I don't have to face it all on Monday morning!
Are you going away somewhere or just off work?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
My desk and surround shelves are chaos but i know where everthing is (big horder) but I had a big clear out as I don't want people having a nose when I am away!! It feels good and it was so long over due.
This week we are just at home - it is Mr Looloo's birthday on Sunday and we have his little un's (the Little Loos) for the week. So we are making the most of where we live!! Museam visits, picnics you know that kind of thing but keeping fairly local and having some chilling time.
Still got to get to the shops to get Mr Looloo's pressie!!
Are you having time off soon Tixy?
