Its not good here either Carol, it tends to rain all summer long. If i manage to find any sunshine, i'll send it your way.

Good morning everyone, Allie is tired today

the last 24 hours have been horrible
had to drive my best mate and her wee boy to A&E yesterday afternoon after the velux window (in her sons room) smashed over her and her wee boys heads (for no apparent reason as well - it was 6ft up) so there was glass everywhere and the wee man was screaming and both of them looked horrendous with all the blood everywhere.
She called me and I went over from work, then I called her hubby and my OH and they came down to board up the window and clear the glass away (they took photos for insurance and window companies) then i took them to A&E where we sat for 6 hours waiting to be seen, eventually got seen about midnight and wee man had 3 stitches on the side of his head and my best mate had 6 stitches on the back of her head and 4 stitches on her hairline/forehead
i got to bed at about 4am and then got up at 6.30am for work
sorry realised that was a maybe a bit graphic for a Wednesday morning
today will be a better day i think! Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter

Thanks Carol, I've mentioned it to my boss so she knows and she said i can go early but I want to work til at least lunchtime as were shortstaffed today
The window has only been in for 4 months - its an attic conversion so the wee guy could have a bigger room since he was growing up so fast (he's 3 going on 13!) it's definitely covered under warranty by the company so thats something at least! yeh and i would put a compensation claim in against the company who put the window in
i assume your friend took the brunt of the impact it could have been so much worse if she hadn't have been therealways smile no matter how broken you are.0 -

I think thats what she's doing today - getting the replacement sorted, the rest of the windows checked and getting a claim made. Yeah, she took most of the impact which I'm glad for (I know that sounds horrible but I mean instead of her boy!)Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter
