micro scalextric cars wanted

my son's current car has "burned out" on his micro scalextric set. Rather than return it back to the shop does anyone know of any shop that sells replacement cars (any type of car will do) cheaply?
Tried ebay but prices seemed a bit steep around £7+. Did not really want to pay more than a few pounds.

If it is under warrenty then return it. If it isnt then the cars cost about £9 new so your best bet is ebay.
You never know you may get a full set including the cars then you can run away and make huge track layoutsfor not alot more than the cost of 1 car?
I havnt seen the micro cars but would it be possible to replace the burnt out parts?0
